Team Dust Warriors deed in de zomer van 2020 mee aan de Breslau Rally met de DAF rally truck en een Yamaha buggy. Op slechts 100 kilometer na de start, op 15 september, sloeg de buggy bij het beklimmen van een hoge heuvel om in de rivier. Met hulp van een ander team is de buggy weer recht gekomen en kon haar weg vervolgen. Later deze dag, ongeveer 20 kilometer vóór de finish, brak een velg in 1.000 stukken, waardoor de buggy linksaf de berm in sloeg. De ophanging van de buggy lag 100 meter van de buggy en de schokdemper lag in twee stukken. De buggy plus bemanning werd uren later door de sweeper opgehaald. Bij aankomst in de bivak heeft het service team vervolgens tot 04.00 uur aan de buggy gesleuteld om deze weer klaar te maken voor een volgende rally dag. Hiervoor zijn zelfs nieuwe schokdempers uit Nederland naar de rally gereden, welke nét op tijd voor de start konden worden bevestigd. Al met al een pittige klus, maar mét het gewenste resultaat: het team kon weer aan de start verschijnen. Team DAF had een meer solide start en reed een lekkere dag.

Kort na de verplaatsing naar bivak 2 brak bij de buggy de aandrijfas. Als gevolg hiervan reed de buggy de rest van de rally met 1 x 4, wat eigenlijk niet te doen is in het mulle zand en de diepe plassen. Desondanks is het team er in geslaagd om in de middenmoot te finishen. Een mooie presentatie!

Team DAF heeft eigenlijk een heel lekkere rally gereden en wist zelfs een podium plek te bemachtigen, door als 3e te eindigen in het klassement.

Het rijden van een rally door bos en heide blijkt wezenlijk anders dan het navigeren in de woestijn. Het bos en de heide vraagt uiterste concentratie, aangezien veel kleine stukken elkaar in rap tempo opvolgen. Ook tijdens deze rally heeft het team weer veel nieuwe ervaring opgedaan, die worden meegenomen voor de toekomst!
